Not every opening can be closed with cable netting. Walkways, plant platforms, drainage covers and industrial flooring need a rigid, load-rated surface, and Anping Yuhan supplies seventeen steel grating specifications to cover those duties. The range runs from lightweight expanded metal walkway panels to heavy galvanised bar grating in Q235, Q345 and S275 grades.
| Product | Size / Type | Material | Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galvanised expanded metal walkway | 30 x 60 cm panel | Galvanised steel | Light walkways, machine guards |
| Walkway grating | 30 x 100 bearing bar | Q235 / Q345 / S275 | Industrial flooring, platforms |
| Aluminium grate flooring | 25 x 3 mm bearing bar | Aluminium | Corrosive or weight-sensitive sites |
| Expanded metal grating | 30mm / 40mm mesh | Galvanised steel | General screening and flooring |
| Serrated steel walkway grating | Square bar grating | Galvanised Q345 | Slip-resistant access routes |
Bearing bar depth, bar pitch and cross bar spacing determine load capacity. For a pedestrian walkway at 5 kN per square metre, a 25mm by 3mm bearing bar at 30mm pitch with 100mm cross bar spacing is a typical starting point; vehicle access or heavy plant loading requires deeper bars or reduced span. Serrated bearing bars should be specified for any outdoor access route, ramp or stair tread where wet conditions are expected.
All carbon steel grating is hot dip galvanised to a coating weight suitable for exterior service, giving a zinc layer that resists atmospheric corrosion for decades in most environments. Cut edges and weld points are re-sealed after fabrication. For coastal or chemical exposure, aluminium grating or additional coating should be considered, since zinc consumption accelerates sharply with chloride contact.
Seventeen steel grating profiles, in carbon steel hot dip galvanised, aluminium and expanded metal variants, are available for export from Anping Yuhan Metal Wire Mesh Co., Ltd. Drawings showing span, load and bearer layout allow the engineering team to confirm the correct profile before order. Enquiries via stainlesssteel-ropemesh.com.
Three inputs are enough for a firm quotation: the clear span between supports, the distributed load or vehicle class, and the required surface finish. From those, the engineering team selects bearing bar depth, pitch and cross bar spacing, then issues a panel schedule with cut sizes, banding and fixing quantities so site work is straightforward.
